Cross-Country Skiing for everyone
At times faster, at times slower: Cross-country skiers make their way through the sun-drenched grounds of the Holy Ghost Church in Kasern. The height of the valley makes snow cannons useless: The tracks are pure nature. Tracks for classic and skating are engraved into the natural, snow-covered ground and present ideal circumstances for cross-country skiing. Cross-country skiers make their way towards Trinkstein: Here are the Prastmann alp, the Talschuss hut, the Adler alp or the Jäger hut.
If you think you have already seen everything from the valley, there is always another new quaint mountain hut that invites you to linger.
The so called “Lederhöüsnalm” reflects this the best: Simply navigate in Weißenbach through the “Serpentinen” of the black trail loop and reach the hut. According to the individual skills, of course, also "red" trails are to be found. An example for a red trail is the Busegge alp. Everyone has to start at a certain point of time: Get support from the ski instructors of Klausberg/Steinhaus on your first try. In Kasern and St. Johann you can borrow your equipment, the only thing you need to focus on is the cross-country skiing. A quick hint for beginners and advanced: The 10 kilometres long slope for cross-country skiing in the alpine world Weißenbach.
